NEBRASKA -- Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested four people following multiple pursuits over the weekend.

Around 5:00 p.m. CT on Friday, NSP was notified that a stolen Jeep Wrangler was believed to be traveling on Highway 81 south of Norfolk.

Troopers said they were able to find the vehicle at a gas station at the intersection of Highway 81 and Highway 91.

The trooper reportedly attempted a traffic stop, but the driver didn't stop, ran a stop sign, and accelerated onto Highway 81 heading south.

NSP said the trooper initiated a pursuit.

Troopers said the suspect vehicle turned into Humphrey and continued on residential streets for a short time before turning north onto Highway 81.

NSP said the vehicle slowed and a female passenger jumped from the moving vehicle. The trooper said they discontinued the pursuit and arrested the woman.

Authorities said the vehicle continued north, but the driver was later found on foot by Platte County Sheriff’s Deputies. He was taken into custody.

The driver, 24-year-old Delvin Jones of Grand Island, was arrested for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, theft by unlawful taking $5,000+, multiple outstanding warrants, and several other charges.

The passenger, 31-year-old Kiesha Lemburg of Lincoln, was arrested for theft by receiving stolen property $5,000+ and criminal mischief. Both were lodged in Platte County Jail.

On Saturday, around 12:50 a.m. MT, NSP said they were informed that a stolen Subaru Legacy had fled an attempted traffic stop in northeast Colorado.

NSP said the vehicle was believed to have entered Nebraska. A trooper said they were able to find the vehicle as it was traveling east on Interstate 80 near Ogallala.

The Subaru reportedly exited I-80 at the Ogallala interchange and heading north into Ogallala.

The trooper said they attempted a traffic stop, but the driver immediately accelerated and turned west onto Highway 26. The trooper initiated a pursuit.

The Subaru reportedly fled westbound on Highway 26 speeding over 130 mph.

NSP said the vehicle continued until voluntarily coming to a stop between Lisco and Broadwater. They said the driver was then taken into custody without further incident.

Troopers said they found 13 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

NSP said the driver, 19-year-old Kage Anthony of North Platte, was arrested for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, possession of meth, theft by receiving stolen property $5,000+, and other charges.

On Sunday, around 1:30 a.m. CT, a trooper observed a motorcycle speeding on I-80 in Omaha. The trooper said they attempted a traffic stop as the motorcycle exited I-80 at 144th Street.

The rider refused to yield, fled through a neighborhood, and then reentered I-80 heading west. The trooper initiated a pursuit, with assistance from the Omaha Police Department’s Able-1.

Able-1 pilots reportedly tracked the motorcycle along I-80 driving west and then east as it returned to the Omaha area. The motorcycle exited I-80 at 144th Street in Omaha and began driving north.

The NSP said rider then stopped the motorcycle at an apartment complex near 151st and Giles and fled on foot. A trooper pursued the suspect on foot and was able to take him into custody without further incident.

The rider, 36-year-old Christyan Escobedo of Omaha, was arrested for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, and numerous traffic violations. He was lodged in Sarpy County Jail.
