TASER deployed during arrest of Norfolk man
NORFOLK, Neb. -- The Norfolk Police Division responded to a an assault call early Sunday morning.
When officers arrived to the 1200 block of W Phillip Ave., they said they found a woman with a bloody nose and redness to her cheek.
NPD said the victim reported being assaulted by 27-year-old Dylan Osborne of Norfolk.
Police said that the assaulted happened after he came to the house and entered uninvited.
Osborne reportedly left the home before officers arrived, but they said they found him in a vehicle near 10th St. and West Park Ave.
NPD said they performed a traffic stop on the vehicle. He was reportedly found in the passenger seat with blood on his knuckles.
Officers said they asked him to get out of the vehicle and told him he was under arrest.
Osborne reportedly refused to comply, and officers said they had to remove him from the vehicle.
NPD said that while struggling to handcuff Osborne, a TASER was deployed.
Osborne was taken into custody and arrested for third-degree domestic assault, trespassing, obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest.
He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
NPD said that Osborne has a prior arrest for third-degree domestic assault for assaulting the same victim in August, at the same home.
Osborne has court ordered no contact that resticts him from contacting the victim.
