Single-vehicle rollover reportedly caused by icy road conditions
PILGER, Neb. -- Authorities responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident on Saturday morning near Pilger.
The Stanton County Sheriff's Office said around 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, the responded to and investigated a rollover accident that was about two miles west of Pilger on Highway 275.
SCSO said that accident happened when an SUV, driven by a 51-year-old Norfolk man, was heading east and lost control due to icy road conditions.
The vehicle then reportedly crossed the westbound lane and entered the north ditch rolling twice.
The man was taken to a Norfolk hospital by Wisner Rescue for treatment of his injuries.
SCSO said that seat belts were in use and multiple airbags deployed preventing more serious injuries.
The SUV has been reported to be a total loss, and the man was cited for not having a valid driver's license or vehicle registration.
SCSO said that Pilger Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene.
