NORFOLK, Neb. -- A pop-up shop in northeast Nebraska helped fellow businesses gain exposure and reach new customers.

"It's fun to get out and see some other people that you might not see and get to come to a brewery and have a beer while I'm selling chocolate so that makes it nice," said 4th St. Sweets co-owner Brian Fleming.

Patrons were able stop in for a "Sip and Shop" at Divots Brewery and Taproom Friday featuring sweet treats from 4th St. Sweets and stylish clothes from Uprooted Traveling Boutique.

The traveling clothing store travels within a two-hour radius of Norfolk, showcasing its clothes with sizes ranging from infants to plus size.

Uprooted Traveling Boutique co-owner Ashley Frasch said that traveling to different pop-ups has created lasting relationships with customers and other businesses.

"It's been great, we've built a lot of good connections especially in some of the smaller towns around Norfolk, and a lot of good contacts and stuff that we never would have been to do without this," Frasch said.

Mom and pop shop, 4th St. Sweets has been a one stop shop for chocolates, candies, and more for over a year in Norfolk, but Fleming said that participating in pop-ups broadens their reach to new customers.

"So, they good get a god idea of where we're at, and get to sample our goods and hopefully like them and obviously come back and visit," Fleming said.

This is the second year that both businesses have participated in the "Sip and Shop."
