NORFOLK, Neb. — Authorities were called to an intersection near Woodland Park, just outside of Norfolk, for a car accident.

According to a press release from Madison County Sheriff's office, the two vehicle accident happened at the intersection of East Benjamin Ave. and Highway 35.

Three people were transported to the nearby hospital for their injuries, one with life-threatening injuries.

Madison County was assisted at the scene by Stanton County deputies, Stanton County Emergency Management, Norfolk Police, Norfolk Rescue, and Woodland Park fire.

Traffic was stalled and authorities guided drivers through the intersection for about an hour.

The incident is still under investigation and names are being withheld as it continues.
