NORFOLK, Neb. -- Police are currently investigating the cause of a mobile home fire in Norfolk.

The Norfolk Police Division said officers were sent to the 800 block of S 14th St. around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday for a report of a mobile home on fire.

Officers said they saw smoke and fire when they arrived. The residents had reportedly gotten out of the home safely.

According to authorities, the fire was contained to the kitchen area. The fire reportedly took five minutes to put out with the help of two fire apparatuses, an ambulance, and 14 firefighters.

No injuries to firefighters were reported and one of the residents had to be evaluated at the scene but was released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
