WINSIDE, Neb. -- A newer northeast Nebraska locale is starting up a new community tradition.

The Wildcat Bar and Grille in Winside hosted its first annual holiday meal for the community on Sunday.

The spread included turkey, ham, and duck along with plenty of sides and desserts.

The bar itself had been closed since before the pandemic, but was purchased by local resident Doug Stevens earlier this year and opened in June.

The tradition is catching on, roughly 100 people in the town of 381 had been served by noon on Sunday.
