MADISON, Neb. -- The Madison County Sheriff's Office reported an accident on Sunday where a car collided with a train. 

Around 10:40 a.m., MCSO said they responded to the accident where a GMC Denali was heading east on 837th Road in the area of 554th Ave. 

The two in the vehicle, a 43-year-old man and 29-year-old woman, were both injured in the accident. 

They were heading east on 837th Road, when they collided with the side of a train that was heading north. 

The 43-year-old was taken to a local hospital via Norfolk Rescue, and the 29-year-old was taken by Life Flight to a Sioux City hospital for her injuries. 

MCSO said that neither of them were wearing their seatbelts, and their vehicle is considered a total loss.
