Ruskamp murder case bound to District Court
WAYNE, Neb. -- A 31-year-old Wisner man had his case bound over from Wayne County Court to Wayne County District Court as of Monday.
Carl Ruskamp is facing murder charges after a shooting incident that stems from Sept. 7, 2022. His father Gerald Ruskamp was found with a gunshot wound to his head. He was taken to a hospital where he later died. Carl was arrested shortly after.
The charges that Ruskamp faces are first-degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and possess a firearm by a prohibited person.
Honorable Judge Ross A. Stoffer decided that Ruskamp was intelligent enough to make the decision on the direction of the case.
The bond remained the same at 10% of $1,000,000. The next hearing will be on Feb. 7 at Wayne County District Court at 9:00 a.m.
