Norfolk man arrested for third-degree domestic assault and child abuse

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A man is behind bars after police say he strangled and pushed a woman in Norfolk.
Julio Eugenio Moro Vasquez, 23, was arrested Saturday by Norfolk Police.
According to a press release from the Norfolk Police Division, officers made contact with a woman at 5:10 a.m. on Saturday who said Vasquez had hurt her.
The woman said following a disagreement, Vasquez strangled and pushed her while she was holding a child.
Also in the press release, police claim they noticed marks around the woman's neck and talked to a witness who confirmed the woman's story.
Vasquez was later pulled over by a Madison County Sheriff's Office Deputy and, after talking with police, was arrested for third-degree domestic assault and child abuse.
He was placed in the Madison County Jail.
