LINCOLN - It's been five years since Bishop Neumann played at the NSAA Girls State Basketball Tournament, but the Cavaliers settled back into the groove pretty quickly.

The five-seed stifled #4 Cross County, beating the Cougars 61-40 to advance to the Class C2 semi-finals.

The win is Neumann's fourth straight at the state tournament, albeit with a five-year break since they won the 2019 Class C1 title. They face a familiar foe in the semis - Yutan, who they lost to in the sub-district tournament less than two weeks ago.

Cross County was making just their third appearance at state all-time, and their second in a row.
