NORTHEAST, Neb. -- Residents in northeast Nebraska remain without power Tuesday morning as crews in rural Nebraska have been unable to make repairs.

Tuesday morning saw some residents continue to deal with a power outage that began Monday after severe weather was observed across Nebraska.

Elkhorn Rural Public Power District reported they have been unable to restore some power for services in northeast Nebraska due to windy and icy conditions.

It has prevented them from fixing a transmission line which caused the initial power outage on Monday.

They also have reported three substations are out of service.

ERPPD has received mutual aid from Cuming County and is working to reroute portions of impacted areas.

They warn some areas that have power returned to them, may experience further outages.
