NORFOLK, Neb. -- A Norfolk man was arrested this past weekend after police claimed to have found drugs following a traffic stop.

On Saturday, around 11:30 a.m., Norfolk Police performed a traffic stop on the driver 38-year-old Pierre Evans, of Norfolk.

Authorities said they checked Evans' license and found that it was currently under revocation and arrested him.

During a subsequent search, officers claimed to have found a baggie containing cocaine on Evans' body and recovered MDMA/Ecstasy pills from his vehicle.

Evans was arrested for driving during revocation and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

He was housed at the Norfolk City Jail before being transferred over to Madison County Jail.
