LINCOLN, NEB - Professional Bull Riding is set to make a return to the Cornhusker state next week.

For the first time since October of 2022, PBR's Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour will descend on Pinnacle Bank Arena. Rider Thor Hoefer says it'll be an action packed night.

"When it all comes together, it's exciting to see," Hoefer said. "It's going to be pretty spectacular. If you've been there before, it may not be new to you, but you're for sure going to show up again."

Hoefer says riders will be pushing to the limit, as the series tour nears its end. In addition, bulls will also make pushes for the finals. Bulls are in a competition as well in a battle of championship bull teams.

Hoefer, who has competed in Nebraska before, says riding in a state where cattle production, livestock, and agriculture is a major part of the lifestyle makes things mean a bit more.

"Fans are more in touch with what's going on in the event," Hoefer said. "The fans realize what It takes to get the bulls there, what it takes for the riders to get there. As a farmer or a rancher, you might not always be dealt the best hand, but you work with what you've got. The fans here get a chance to kick back, relax, and enjoy something a bit different that might not be in the daily news. When the fans get behind it and have a good time, us riders get behind it as well."

The event is set for Friday, Apr. 13 at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.
