NORFOLK, Neb. -- The city of Norfolk has received a $1.125 million grant from the Civic and Community Center Financing Fund (CCCF) to enhance Norfolk's downtown and riverfront areas.

The grant, in conjunction with matching funds, will contribute to a series of projects aimed at creating a more vibrant and more pedestrian-friendly downtown.

Some of these projects include enhanced lighting, creating navigational signage, fostering connectivity, enhancing outdoor recreation, and creating safe, walkable spaces.

Intersections and alleyways are the primary targets for the new lighting. Parking lots were also highlighted for the purpose of improving accessibility to downtown Norfolk.
