NORFOLK, Neb. -- A house fire has caused over $100,000 in damages to a Norfolk home.

The Norfolk Fire Division was called out to a residence at 917 S First St. that was on fire.

According to a press release from Captain Lannce Grothe, crews encountered heavy smoke and moderate flames coming from inside the building. 

Norfolk Fire, with assistance from other first responders, got the fire under control in 10 minutes and overhauled the structure in an hour and 30 minutes.

Norfolk Fire said the damages are estimated to cost about $120,000 with the structure receiving $70,000 in damages and $50,000 to the property's contents.

No one was injured and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
