BLOOMFIELD, Neb. — One of the suspects in the Bloomfield double homicide pled not guilty to one count of tampering with evidence on Tuesday.

According to court documents, 27-year-old Kaylyne Sweazy entered a plea of not guilty to a felony count of tampering with physical evidence.

Sweazy is charged in connection with the double homicide of Curtis Strom and William Reffett in February.

She is accused of helping dispose of the shotgun used which was later found by authorities.

Court documents said the other suspect, 25-year-old Alias Reed, was previously ruled incompetent to stand trial in a court appearance in April.

Reed faces four felony charges including two counts of first degree murder.

If found guilty, Reed could face the death penalty.

Reed is scheduled back in court for a status hearing on May 16.

Sweazy is scheduled to appear for a hearing on May 28.
