NORFOLK, Neb. -- The Nebraska State Patrol said that a Norfolk man was arrested after authorities searched a home Thursday morning.

According to the NSP, the search took place around 7 a.m. on Thursday at a residence in the 1300 block of West Park Avenue in Norfolk.

The State Patrol stated that everyone on the property exited voluntarily during the investigation.

During the search, investigators discovered suspected cocaine and a handgun at the residence.

One of the residents, 33-year-old James Woodall, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Woodall was booked into Madison County Jail, and the investigation remains ongoing.
