Police arrest woman for attempted homicide after domestic dispute in Alliance
ALLIANCE - A domestic dispute in Alliance escalated into a violent attack Thursday night, leaving one man hospitalized and a woman in custody.
The Alliance Police Department says officers were dispatched to 2652 Marvin Circle at approximately 10 p.m. Friday, following a report of an assault. When authorities arrived, they found George Coulton King with multiple stab wounds to his arms and neck.
After an interview with King, police learned the assault took place earlier in the evening at 113 Yellowstone during an argument with Valerie Cerny, the mother of his child.
Cerny, 24, admitted stabbing King during the altercation, stating her intent was to kill him. She has been charged with attempted first-degree homicide and is being held at the Box Butte County Jail, awaiting a hearing.
