The Mustangs entered Tuesday night's matchup with an 11-9 record and sitting at 22nd in the Class C2 power points. Stanton's schedule has been tough all year long, but the young team has continued to fight throughout the season.

Howells-Dodge entered the match with a 14-6 record, coming off a loss against an incredible Humphrey-Lindsay team. Before that, the Jags had ripped off 9-straight wins and are one of the team's to beat in Class D2, ranked 5th in power points.

The Mustangs and Jags went punch for punch in the first portion of the opening set. The Jaguars looks to set up Peyten Becker with early opportunities, while the Mustangs looked to Bergan Pohlman and Karsyn Dusatko.

Stanton pulled away late, taking the first set 25-18.

The intensity picked up in set two, with Ava Noyd getting involved for Howells-Dodge, especially on the defensive end. Noyd was a force in denying Mustangs opportunities in front of the net.

Howells-Dodge continued to fight in set three, but the Mustangs rhythm was too much to defend. Stanton cranked out a 25-16 third set victory and took the sweep over Howells-Dodge.
