MADISON, Neb. -- The Madison County Sheriff's Office said they responded to several accidents Tuesday morning.

MCSO said that between 6:30 and 8:30 a.m., they, along with other law enforcement, responded to seven separate vehicle accidents.

All of the accidents took place on the east side of Madison County, mostly along Highway 81 and Highway 275.

The Sheriff's Office said the freezing rain and snow caused the roads to quickly become slick in the morning, and these conditions cause numerous other vehicles to lose control and go into the ditches.

MSCO said that of the seven accidents that were reported, five of them were single-vehicle rollovers.

One of the accidents near Madison left the occupant injured and they were taken to a local hospital by Madison Fire & Rescue. There were no other notable injuries mentioned at this time.
