Jan. 7, 2025 / PRZen / ODENSE, Denmark -- Morningscore, a Danish company behind the successful SEO tool with a unique gamification twist, has announced it has successfully raised close to $700,000 USD in new funding from two prominent Danish business angels, Bo Møller and Lasse Schou Holbøll.
Founded in 2018, Morningscore has quickly grown to approach 1M USD in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR). By delivering an intuitive SEO tool that gamifies search engine optimization tasks, the company has carved out a loyal user base of more than 1000 customers. The newly secured funds will be used to hugely amplify the AI capabilities of the tool, increase hiring of specialized engineers, and expand the company's presence beyond Denmark.
"Morningscore represents a new generation of SEO tools that anyone can use to grow their business. Our partnership with Bo and Lasse is both a big vote of confidence and a strategic move for sustainable growth," said Karsten Madsen, CEO of Morningscore. "Morningscore has grown up and is ready to scale. Bo and Lasse have a strong track record of sustainable and global scaling, so this is a perfect fit."
Bo Møller and Lasse Schou Holbøll bring a wealth of SaaS experience to Morningscore. Both will join the company's Board of Directors, with Bo Møller taking on the role of Chairman. "What attracted us to Morningscore was their unique approach to making SEO accessible through gamification and their impressive organic growth. With AI SEO features coming up and Karsten's genuine enthusiasm for helping businesses succeed, they're perfectly positioned to lead SEO into the AI era," said Lasse Schou Holbøll and Bo Møller.
This also marks the departure of outgoing Chairman Mads Wedderkopp, who has led Morningscore's Board since 2021. Under his leadership, the company secured funding and achieved key early growth milestones. 'Mads can proudly say the mission is complete now. Mads has also been a mentor to me personally and helped me grow,' added Karsten Madsen, CEO of Morningscore.
