LAUREL - The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears finished with an exclamation on Thursday night, with both the boys and girls scoring over 70 points in wins over the Wisner-Pilger Gators on Senior Night.

Kicking things off in the girls game, Wisner-Pilger (9-12) had taken down Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (11-11) in the previous five battles.

The Bears and Gators stayed tight in the first quarter, but LCC held the slight edge at the end of one, leading 15-11.

LCC began knocking down shots from beyond the arc, hitting five in the first half compared to just one from Wisner-Pilger. 

The Bears also began to out-rebound the Gators, giving more offensive opportunities to LCC as they extended the lead into halftime, 34-22.

The hot shooting for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge only got hotter as the Bears knocked down more triples, with Carlie Kvols paving the way with six made three's.

Late in the fourth quarter, the Gators made a little bit of a run, but fell short to the Bears 72-58.

Carlie Kvols had a dominant night, scoring 22 points to lead both teams. Kaida Eriksen knocked down four three's, adding to her 15 point total. Rena Rasmussen also scored 15 points for the Bears, while Hattie McCorkindale scored 9.

Wisner-Pilger was led by Emerson Bellar, who scored 17 points for the Gators. Haley Kneifl scored 13 and Hannah Parker was also in double figures, scoring 10.

In the boys game, Wisner-Pilger jumped out to an early 12-4 lead in the first quarter, led by a strong post presence. 

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge battle back quickly, going on their own 17-5 run to end the first quarter to lead 21-17 at the end of the first quarter.

Caleb Erwin and Cade Johnson were keys in the first quarter for the Bears, while Regan Raabe held his own for the Gators.

In the second quarter, LCC added to their big run, thanks to Gibson Roberts taking over on offense, plus Eli Haisch knocking down a three at the halftime buzzer.

Leading 43-27 into the third, the Gators cut the deficit to 11, but the Bears came right back on a run to extend the lead to 19 at the end of the third.

LCC controlled the fourth quarter and came away with the 73-51 win over Wisner-Pilger.

Gibson Roberts scored 20 points for the Bears, followed by 16 from Cade Johnson and 14 from Drey Puppe.

Regan Raabe had a fantastic night for the Gators in the paint, leading his team with 20 points. Jaxon Knoell scored 12 for Wisner-Pilger.
