Skutt rolls past Scottsbluff, completes first ever Class B three-peat

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Class B final of the 2025 NSAA Boys State Basketball tournament featured one team with the longest trip of the tournament and one team looking to make history.
Scottsbluff and Omaha Skutt Catholic squared off on Saturday night and a dominant second half leads the Skyhawks to a 64-49 win over the Bearcats. The Bearcats led the entire first quarter, but the Skyhawks would build up a four point lead at the half.
Skutt would score the first 11 points of the fourth quarter to pull away. The Skyhawks were led I scoring by Brock Scholl with a double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
With the win, the Skyhawks become the first team in Class B to win three straight state titles since 1989, finishing the year at 23-5.
