CLEARWATER, Neb.-- An upcoming concert in Northeast Nebraska is among the dates affected by an accident in Nashville.

Country music star Conner Smith has canceled all his upcoming dates after authorities say he fatally struck a pedestrian with his vehicle over the weekend.

Police say a 77-year-old woman was crossing the street when she was struck by Smith's truck. She later died at a nearby hospital.

No charges have been filed, but Smith said in a statement that he was stepping away from performing for now. That includes a scheduled stop at the Clearwater Rodeo.

Rodeo organizers say Bayker Blankenship will replace Smith for the June 28 show.
