RANDOLPH,Neb.- Ash kicked up from a pig incinerator starts a 100 acre fire in northeast nebraska.

At 4p.m. on Monday, Pierce Fire and Rescue along with Caroll, Wayne, and Winside helped battle a blaze.

According to Randolph Fire Chief Jim Scott, no one was hurt in the fire that burned 80 to 100 acres seven miles south of Randolph.

Scott says the fire lasted for roughly two and-a-half hours. The flames started when ash from a pig incinerator was kicked up into corn stubble from wind.

Scott says nearby farmers used six different tractors and a water tank to help fight the blaze.
