GoFundMe established for family of Ogallala woman killed in northeast Nebraska crash
MADISON, Neb. - A GoFundMe page has been established to support the family of an Ogallala woman who died following a traffic crash over the weekend in northeast Nebraska.
The fundraiser was created in memory of Robin Cobaugh, 49, who was killed Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highways 81 and 32 in Madison. According to law enforcement, Cobaugh was driving an SUV that was struck by a commercial straight truck that failed to stop at a stop sign. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The GoFundMe page describes Cobaugh as a devoted family member whose “warm presence, resilient strength and steadfast love” left a lasting impact on those around her. The fundraiser asks for community support to help her family navigate funeral expenses and related costs during what organizers describe as a difficult and unexpected time.
The fundraiser is organized by Carly Armijo of Ogallala. As of publication, donations were continuing to come in from community members offering financial assistance and messages of support.
The crash remains under investigation by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol. The driver of the straight truck was arrested on charges of reckless driving and motor vehicle homicide.
Authorities have not released additional details as the investigation continues.
