NORFOLK, Neb. -- A 21-year-old Norfolk man is in custody after allegedly assaulting a woman in front of children early Halloween morning.
Officers were called to a Norfolk residence early Sunday for an alleged disturbance between a man and a woman. The man, Rashid D.T. Perry, agreed to leave for the night.
Officers were called back to the residence approximately an hour later. A press release by the Norfolk Police Department states that Perry had returned and was actively assaulting the woman as officers arrived. Officers state that children were present and witnessed the assault.
Perry was arrested for third-degree domestic assault and child abuse. He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
