Two women killed, 21-year-old man hospitalized after Omaha crash

OMAHA, Neb. -- Two women are dead after a crash late Thursday night in Omaha.
The Omaha Police Department says OPD officers and Douglas County Sheriff's deputies were called to 192nd and F Streets for a crash just before 11:00 p.m.
OPD officials said the investigation indicated that an eastbound 2017 Ford F250 entered the intersection and struck a southbound 2018 Nissan Altima.
After the crash, both vehicles came to rest on the southeast corner of the intersection, authorities said.
The Nissan became engulfed in fire after the crash and two occupants were declared dead at the scene by the Omaha Fire Department. Neither has been identified at this time.
Omaha Fire transported the 21-year-old driver of the Ford to Bergan Mercy Hospital where he is being treated for back and chest fractures.
Alcohol use and high speed are being investigated as possible factors in the crash, OPD said.
The roadway was closed for approximately five hours, re-opening at approximately 4:00 a.m. Friday morning.
