Norfolk Panthers claim back-to-back state cheer titles

NORFOLK, Neb. — The Norfolk Panthers are bringing home another state title.
The Norfolk Public Schools Panther Unified Cheer Team won the 2026 Nebraska State Cheer & Dance Championships on Thursday at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island.
The victory marks a second consecutive state championship for the team, which also claimed the title in 2025.
The team is coached by Alissa Melcher and Phoebe Matson.
