Norfolk Salvation Army announces purchase of former post office

The Norfolk Salvation Army announced Wednesday that it has purchased the former United States Postal Service building at 401 North 4th St in Norfolk.

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Norfolk Salvation Army announced Wednesday that it has purchased the former United States Postal Service building at 401 North 4th St in Norfolk.

The building, which has sat vacant for years, served as Norfolk’s post office from 1970 to 2015.

The Salvation Army is set to hold a news conference at the former post office building in late August or early September. There, local and regional Salvation Army leaders will announce plans for the building’s future use.
