NORFOLK, Neb. -- A 19-year-old Norfolk man was arrested on felony charges early Christmas morning.

At 4:12 a.m. Saturday morning, Norfolk Police were notified by Faith Regional ER that two adult male assault victims had come in for treatment. During their investigation, officers determined that there had been a physical disturbance at a party in the 200 block of N. 10th Street. The fight led to the two men seeking medical aid.

As officers continued their investigation, they learned 19-year-old Kalin Bennett, of Norfolk, had been present at the party. Witnesses reported that Bennett had brandished a gun with a laser sight during the fights and that he illuminated the laser sight on people's bodies, causing them to fear being shot, NPD said.

Officers were able to locate Bennett, and he was arrested for terroristic threats and use of a firearm to commit a felony.

Bennett was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred the Madison County Jail.

The physical assault investigation is still under investigation.
