Man assaulted with wooden chair on New Year's Day
A disturbance call was made early New Year's Day morning in Norfolk where a verbal argument turned physical.
NORFOLK, Neb. -- A disturbance call was made early New Year's Day morning in Norfolk.
January 1, just before 2 a.m., Norfolk Police were called to a disturbance at an apartment in the 900 block of Woodhurst Ave.
Police said, when they arrived they had contact with 26-year-old Sherina Good Voice Elk or Norfolk and an adult male.
Officials said that when speaking with the two, officers learned that there had been a verbal argument that escalated to Good Voice Elk hitting the male victim with a wooden chair several times.
NPD said that victim had several scratches along with redness and swelling on several parts of his upper body. He also believed that his arm was possibly broke.
Good Voice Elk was arrested for second-degree domestic assault. She was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
