Man with outstanding S.D. warrant arrested after Norfolk altercation
A Friday night physical altercation in northeast Nebraska led to the eventual arrest of a man with an active South Dakota arrest warrant.
NORFOLK, Neb. – A Friday night physical altercation in northeast Nebraska led to the eventual arrest of a man with an active South Dakota arrest warrant.
Norfolk Police officers were called to a business in the 300 block of Northwestern Avenue at 11:38 p.m. Friday.
It was reported that there were several men involved in a physical altercation. As officers were arriving, some of those reportedly involved left in a vehicle.
An officer was able to stop the car and identified the driver. According to NPD, the back seat passenger was uncooperative and provided a false name.
After running the man’s fingerprints, he was identified as 46-year-old Lyndon A. Hawk. Hawk had an active South Dakota arrest warrant. He was taken into custody for the warrant as well as for false reporting. He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
