STANTON, Neb. -- Two people are facing drugs charges after a traffic stop in northeast Nebraska. 

The Stanton County Sheriff's office said they stopped a car around 2:30 a.m. Sunday for speeding near Woodland Park. 

Authorities said the driver, 30-year-old Jordan Schaller of Norfolk was found to be under the influences of drugs. 

The Sheriff's office said he began to resist arrest and a TASER device was deployed to subdue him.

Schaller was further found to be in possession of meth and he was jailed on several charges: DWI-drugs, possession of methamphetamine, resisting arrest, obstructing a police officer, and prohibited acts (under influence of illegal drug).

The passenger, 20-year-old Keriann Denney of Norfolk also has several charges: possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
