NORFOLK, Neb. -- A 32-year-old northeast Nebraska man is in custody after a reported disturbance in Norfolk on Friday morning.

Shortly before 8:00 a.m., Norfolk Police were called to the 800 block of Norfolk Avenue in reference to a possible trespassing violation. The reporting party indicated that 32-year-old Tyson Tilden, of Norfolk, was pounding on the windows of the building.

The caller also stated that Tilden had previously been told that he was not allowed on the property because of past disturbances involving Tilden.

As officers were responding to the call in the 800 block of Norfolk Avenue, a second call of a disturbance in the area of 600 block of Queen City Boulevard was reported.

Responding officers located Tilden at the Queen City Boulevard location, according to Norfolk Police Capt. Chad Reiman. According to Reiman, an officer attempted to have contact with Tilden, who was reportedly walking in the middle of the street and causing traffic issues.

Reiman says the officer told Tilden to get out of the street, which Tilden reportedly refused.

Tilden then fled from police on a foot scooter, causing further traffic issues, Reiman said.

According to Reiman, officers continued to try to make contact, which then led to a foot pursuit. After tracking down Tilden, officers arrested him for obstructing a police officer.

Tilden was also issued a citation for trespassing and pedestrian violation. He was booked into the Norfolk City Jail and later transported to the Madison County Jail.
