Two South Dakota men arrested and booked on several charges
Norfolk Police arrested two 22-year-old South Dakota men following a traffic stop.
NORFOLK, Neb. -- Norfolk Police arrested two 22-year-old South Dakota men following a traffic stop.
Monday morning just before 12:30 a.m., Norfolk Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Highway 81 and Monroe Ave.
Authorities said that the officer said they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Officials said that the officer then conducted a search of the vehicle. The officer found different kinds of drug paraphernalia.
NPD officials said that drugs were found in the back seat and truck of the vehicle.
Officers said they found approximately 14 pounds of marijuana, one pound of psilocybin mushrooms, 627 one gram containers of THC wax, 400 THC vape cartridges, and a plastic baggie containing cocaine.
Both driver and passenger were arrested.
Officials said that officers learned that the two had been in Colorado and were returning to South Dakota.
Both men were booked into the Norfolk City jail on several felony charges, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of psilocybin mushrooms with intent to deliver, and no drug tax stamp.
Both men were later transported to the Madison County jail.
