NORFOLK, Neb. -- Grant Elementary School has a new principal for the upcoming school. 

In a press release, Norfolk Public Schools introduced Amy Brown as Grant's elementary principal pending board approval. Mrs. Brown is currently serving as the Assistant Principal at Norfolk Middle School. Speaking on his co-worker's experience, Norfolk Middle School principal, Chuck Hughes said Brown was a caring person and wished her luck in her new role.

“Mrs. Brown has been a great leader at Norfolk Middle School the past few years, both as a teacher and now as the Assistant Principal," Hughes said. "She truly cares about our students and staff and has high expectations for everyone. Even though we are going to miss her, we are happy for her as she transitions into her new role at Grant.” 

Speaking on her new role, Brown said she was looking forward to joining Grant and that she was ready to get to work to prepare students for success.

”I am thankful for the opportunity to join the Grant team as their administrative leader," Brown said. "I look forward to working with the staff, parents, and students. Working together, I am confident that we can prepare all students for success."
