NEBRASKA -- Kansas and Oklahoma could be sending a haze Nebraska's way.

Prescribed burns in the Flint Hills are underway, and the Department of Environment and Energy says the smoke from those fires could impact Nebraskans this week.

State officials said smoke moved into areas near Grand Island and York Monday. It's expected to move into the Lincoln and Omaha area Tuesday.

Forecasters said unusually sensitive groups should consider limiting any prolonged outdoor activity.
