Clearwater man killed in Holt County crash

PAGE, Neb. -- One person is dead after a crash in Holt County Wednesday morning.

The Nebraska State Patrol says it was called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash 1.5 miles south of Page shortly after 10:00 a.m.

According to investigators, a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pulling a trailer was northbound on the 45A spur when it collided with a backhoe driven by a Valley man that was attempting to turn east.

The driver of the pickup, 49-year-old Addison Woodard Jr. of Clearwater, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Highway 45A Spur was closed for approximately two and a half hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
