OMAHA, Neb. -- One of two men accused of kidnapping three people in Omaha pleaded no contest Wednesday as part of an agreement with prosecutors.

26-year-old Levi Heilig pleaded no contest in Douglas County Court to one count of kidnapping. Two other charges were dropped.

The charges stem from an incident last year in which court records state Heilig and a woman, 29-year-old Devan Spera, were allegedly trying to recover property from a burglary by three people.

Police said the duo went beyond recovering property by kidnapping all three and assaulting at least one of them.

Spera pleaded no contest to kidnapping last week.

Heilig will be sentenced in July.
