NORFOLK, Neb. -- A non-profit in northeast Nebraska is holding a special event this weekend.

Camp Willow will be holding its annual camp this weekend from Saturday to Monday.

The family-friendly event is for children with mental, physical, or developmental disabilities.

Participants will get to experience equine and music therapy as well as art and theatre activities.

Sydney Watson, the founder and executive director of Camp Willow, is a clinical mental health therapist who has seen the benefits that these activities can have on the camp attendees.

"I very much value and see the therapeutic value of using creativity and bringing in different artistic activities. Hopefully, these kids will learn something new about themselves and find the different benefits of it," Watson said.

On Tuesday, Camp Willow will be holding a camp-ending event at District Table & Tap for the Norfolk Area Big Give.

The event will feature raffles, giveaways, live music from Matt Casey, and a specialty drink.

For more information on signing up for future camp willow events or to become a volunteer, visit their website.

US92 will be broadcasting from Camp Willow live this weekend.
