OPD investigating death reportedly tied to road rage incident

Metro authorities are investigating a death that allegedly occurred after a road rage incident.

OMAHA, Neb. – Metro authorities are investigating a death that allegedly occurred after a road rage incident.

The Omaha Police Department’s Homicide unit is continuing to search for details regarding a death that occurred on Tuesday, two days after a reported assault at 6700 S. 32nd Street.

A caller had stated that a man had fallen to the ground, striking his head.

Officers located the injured man, identified as 57-year-old Paul Arispe of Omaha.

Arispe was taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center with life-threatening injuries on Sunday. He died as a result of his injuries on Tuesday.

The case is still under active investigation and OPD is in consultation with the Douglas County Attorney's Office regarding any possible criminal charges. No arrests have been made at this time, and there are no outstanding suspects.
