Significant improvements to US92 tower after April storm damage
NORFOLK, Neb. -- A radio station located in the northeast part of Nebraska is officially back to full power with its radio signal.
US92, located in Norfolk, was hit with a setback in April when powerful storms damaged the tower.
The station took the opportunity to make some significant improvements after the incident.
Station General Manager Jessica Walker explained some of the upgrades.
“We had some wind storms that did some significant damage to our tower,” said Walker. “We took an opportunity to do some much-needed upgrades to the tower at that time. Put in some brand-new equipment. The tower is taller so now our signal is stronger than ever, clearer than ever, and is reaching further.”
Walker added she's heard from some people the signal is now reaching communities like Howells and Dodge and even near the South Dakota border.
