COLUMBUS, Neb. - A group of furry criminals got caught causing issues early Wednesday morning.

Four raccoons were spotted in a power line after workers were investigating the cause of a power outage at Wagner's Lake, Loup Power District said.

The raccoons climbed down to safety, but not before Journey Line Tech Beau Schommer was able to snap their mugshots.

The power district said that wildlife caused almost 14,000 outages across the nation in 2023.

The main culprit? Squirrels. Claiming around half the total outages.
