Laurel homicide suspect released from hospital, lodged in jail

Authorities said the suspect in Laurel's quadruple homicide has been released from the hospital.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Authorities said the suspect in a quadruple homicide has been released from the hospital. 

The Nebraska State Patrol said 42-year-old Jason Jones, of Laurel, was discharged from CHI St. Elizabeth in Lincoln Wednesday morning. 

Early in the morning on Aug. 5, Jones was found by troopers with the NSP Swat Team, and officials said he was found with significant burns while they were serving a warrant at his home in Laurel. 

NSP said Jones was taken to CHI St. Elizabeth where he has been getting treatment since. 

Officials said that after being discharged, Jones was transported to the Nebraska Department of Corrections Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln.
