WAYNE, Neb. -- Wayne State College remained second in the latest NCAA Division II volleyball rankings, while UNK stayed at No. 12 in the AVCA coaches poll for the second straight week.

Wayne State captured the NSIC regular season title over the weekend with road wins at Minnesota State and at third-ranked Concordia-St. Paul. It was the Wildcats' third win over CSP, with two of them coming in straight sets.

The Wildcats' lone loss on the season came in five sets at seventh-ranked Southwest Minnesota State. Top-ranked MSU Denver also has just one loss on the season, losing to Concordia-St. Paul in four sets in September.

The 29-1 Wildcats face #8 seed Augustana Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the opening round of the 2022 NSIC Volleyball Tournament in St. Paul, Minn.

UNK, which dropped out of the top 10 for the first time this season during last week's rankings, held strong at No. 12 this week.

The Lopers swept Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern in home matches this past weekend.

UNK will open the MIAA Tournament in St. Joseph, Mo., on Thursday with a match against Missouri Western.
