NORFOLK, Neb. -- Authorities in northeast Nebraska said they arrested a 52-year-old Louisiana man on a felony arrest warrant.

The Stanton County Sheriff's Office said they got information that a wanted man, 52-year-old Marcus Armstrong of Louisiana, was at a residential mobile home in Country Village Trailer Court near Woodland Park.

SCSO said that attempts to contact Armstrong were ineffectual because he refused to come to the door, even though it was known that he was inside.

Authorities said that Armstrong was wanted on a felony arrest warrant from the Louisiana Department of Corrections for a parole violation.

A search warrant to enter the residence was then applied for and was awaiting a judge's signature.

The Sheriff's Office said that when Armstrong finally came to the door and was taken into custody on the felony arrest warrant.

Armstrong was then jailed, pending the extradition process to return him to Louisiana, according to SCSO.
