LINCOLN, Neb. -- Guard Denim Dawson and center Oleg Kojenets both announced this week that they would be leaving the Nebraska basketball program and entering the transfer portal.

Dawson started eight games this season and averaged 1.7 points per game, and 1.8 rebounds per game.

He saw most of his playing time through the middle stretch of the season following a pair of significant injuries on the defensive end of the floor.

Kojenets appeared in 18 games for the Huskers this season and averaged 3.4 minutes per game. At 7-feet tall, Kojenets was the tallest player on the Nebraska roster this past season.

The losses leave multiple spots to fill in Coach Fred Hoiberg's roster before the start of the 2023-24 season.
