WSC's Kneifl, Moeller qualify for NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships

WAYNE, Neb. -- Wayne State College announced two athletes as qualifiers for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Tuesday.
Dylan Kneifl and Logan Moeller were announced as qualifiers for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 25-27 at the CSUP Thunderbowl hosted by CSU Pueblo in Pueblo, Colorado.
Kneifl, a junior from Pilger, a graduate of Wisner-Pilger High School, is a national qualifier in the high jump for a second straight season. He set a new school record clearing 7 1/4” at the South Dakota Tuneup on May 5 and is tied for 12th entering the national championships.
Kneifl will compete on Saturday, May 27 at 5:45 p.m. Central Time. He won the high jump at the NSIC Championships last weekend in St. Paul, Minnesota clearing 6’ 7 1/2”.
Moeller, a sophomore from Pierce, a graduate of Pierce High School, is a first-tine national qualifier in the long jump for the Wildcats. He recorded a season-best mark of 24’ 9 3/4” on April 23 at the Emporia State Midwest Classic and is tied for 10th nationally in the long jump. Moeller will compete at nationals on Thursday, May 25 at 6:30 p.m. Central Time.
